Ray and Lauren welcomed their sweet little peanut Annabelle on a very special day… my birthday! They wanted to be surprised about their baby’s gender, so finding out Annabelle was a girl was very exciting. She joins a family of mostly girls which has also been known as ‘The Rugby Curse’. See Lauren’s dad and my dad played rugby together back in the day. There are quite a few rugby men who have had all girls… known as the ‘curse’. Sure, sure, girls can play rugby too… but many of theses rugby guys have envisioned teaching their little boys how to pass a ball and taking them to countless rugby games. I’m all for gender equality but there is something different about having a girl. Lauren’s dad has all girls and now Lauren and her sister both have only girls. Maybe the rugby curse will be broken when they decide to eventually expand their family. We will see!
